Trigeminal Neuralgia

Trigeminal neuralgia is a severe facial pain disorder following the distribution of cranial nerve. The pain is often unilateral, stabbing, paroxysmal, and excruciating. The condition is exacerbated by daily activities including speaking, chewing, smiling, cold or hot fluid intake, physical touch, exposure to cold air, and teeth brushing.

Treating Trigeminal Neuralgia with Acupuncture

Acupuncture can be a successful method of decreasing or even eliminating the pain caused by a trigeminal neuralgia, however, it may take a few treatments to achieve complete relief. Dr. Sheng has accumulated significant clinical experience treating this condition over the past 20+ years, with no needle inserted into the face where the pain is.
